Puppy Care

Your puppy is up to date on all vaccinations but you will need to finish the series that is required for him to be fully immune to any of these diseases. Your new puppy should be in a confined area when you are not watching it very carefully. It will not know about danger since it has been protected so very carefully here. I recommend a human baby play pen at first, put a puppy pee pad in one corner and the food, bed and toys in the other corners. When your puppy is not in the play pen you will need to watch very carefully not to step on it.Puppies love to be right under your feet, you will need to learn to walk with a shuffle to ensure not hurting it. Do not leave your puppy sitting on anything that it can not get down by itself. Falling off of a chair can kill your new puppy.Do not let children hold the puppy standing up. Puppies are very wiggly and can be dropped. A fall from a standing person can kill your new puppy.
Your new puppy needs to eat and this is very important. The Small Breed Puppy dry food and water needs to be available to your puppy at all times. Puppies eat a little bit all day long. Do Not change your puppy’s food, it can cause diarrhea and possibly worse. If your new puppy will not eat, please do not hesitate to call me for email me at rclkennel@hotmail.com You can give nutri-cal to your puppy every day as a treat or reward for doing something good, it will also keep the puppy's blood sugar up. You can not overdose your puppy but it can cause diarrhea if given too much.
Try not to over handle your new puppy. I know it is tempting to hold and play with this absolutely adorable creature but let the puppy rest as much as needed. This is important. happiness for you! Its new baby is precious!!
